John has been involved with information technology for over 15 years. He spent several years working as a Network Administrator where he maintained UNIX/Linux, AS/400 and Windows servers running HP OpenView Enterprise Management. Supported over 1,000 PCs, configured computer labs, trained staff and assisted with the development of several web sites.

For 7 years, he worked as a Software Engineer involved with support and development of Enterprise Network Systems Management and ITIL Service Level Management software.

John is an A+ Certified Technician and Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer. He is also a VMware Certified Professional (VCP) and VMware Certified Instructor (VCI), and teaches the VMware Infrastructure 3:
